Iri. Fan. Woven from drau ni niu (coconut leaflet) and sasa (midrib) of natural colour, incorporated with somo (black dyed strips of voivoi, or pandanus), with a wooden handle lashed with magimagi (sennit). Commencement from base of blade and woven out in a horizontal twill altering to a vertical twill to complete the blade. Blade is triangular in shape. Strip of somo decorating upper area, near edge, of blade. Strips of somo is also incoporated into the lashing.
