apei
human history
Apei. Mat. This is made of leaves that has gone through the drying process and stripped thin. The stripped pandanus pieces are woven together, making up the body of the mat. It is then fringed with loose pandanus strips tied in sections and threadings of orange and black wools, also creating triangular patterned borders.
