A circular perforation has been drilled near the edge. One side if red in tone with a base of white. A circular cavity that sits on the surface can be seen near the drilled perforation. Its name Te uba refers to where it would sit upon the body when worn from the neck. Uba is i-kiribati for the upper sternum area of the chest.
