Kumete

Kumete. Bowl. Used for domestic purposes - food carrying and presentation. Carved from solid wood, possibly tamanu (mahogany). At the rim, one end pointed into a spout, other has a raised wooden mound. Kumete has large cracks along the sides. Four feet carved at the base of the kumete to for balance.
