Our city is forever shaped by people with ideas. Hear from some of Auckland's sharpest minds as we explore the next five years and the city's future in a panel discussion.

LATE is a curated evening featuring a panel discussion and live performances, with delicious food and drink available.

Panel discussion

Bill Ralston chairs this panel discussion about our city and the changes occuring in our environment, economy, and increasingly diverse population. What will Tāmaki Makaurau be like in 2020?

Panelists include Damon Salesa, University Director of Pacific Strategy and Engagement and Associate Professor and Head of Pacific Studies at the University of Auckland, and Rod Oram, who brings 40 years’ experience as an international business journalist and his active involvement with aspiring Kiwi entrepreneurs. They are joined by Marina Matthews, a Partner and leader of the education team at Chen Palmer New Zealand Public and Employment law specialists; and Waikare Komene, a young architect from Otara who is passionate about empowering communities from the grassroots up, and is the driving force behind The Roots Creative Entrepreneurs.


Enjoy a roving performance from White Face Crew, who are renowned for their laugh-out-loud antics, interacting with audiences and passersby with their unique style of physical comedy. They’ll invigorate your LATE evening with pop-up fun and excerpts of their acclaimed show Double Derelicts.
