As part of our WWI Centenary commemorative exhibition series, visitors were keen to learn more about what life was like in New Zealand for the people at home during the war.
From Mrs Alice Mickle sending care parcels to "our boys" at the front to signing up the shirkers, there was plenty to read online, while our exhibition depicted life in wartime New Zealand from different perspectives, painting a picture of each story through exhibits of letters, clothing, badges and portraits.
