  • Tpr. H. O'Hagon of 1st ILH is shown in the Palmer Casualty roll as "Sev. Wounded Naawpoort, 5/1/1901". He was shot with bullet next to spine and died 13th September 1901 on the ship back to NZ. but made friends in hospital in Joberg with the Boer he had shot and Boer had his leg amputated. AWMM
