    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 August 1916; joined 2nd Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, in the field, 1 September 1916.
    Required to pay cost of 1 bolt cover (2/-), 15 December 1916.
    Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 24 December 1916 (pyrexia, unknown origin); transferred to No 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 27 December 1916; transferred to No 13 General Hospital, Boulogne, 31 December 1916 (bronchitis).
    Died of disease, 2 January 1917. AWMM
