I find myself laying a poppy noticing only one other has.
You are not forgotten, you are with us.
Your pikitia sits above my desk, as I finally study towards a career to help our Māori and Mana Wāhine live and learn, through our own whawhai.
If fighting in a war is all you are known for on here, then let them seek more - kia whai taonga kia whai hua i roto i ta ratou rapunga!!
You're never far from my thoughts
Love you always, one of your many Moko xx

  • Chatting away to my son this morning about the ANZACS , he pipes up and said " mum, I don't want to go to the army I'm scared , i dont like fighting " I replied " don't worry son , your great grandad and all his friends done the fighting for you , your okay son" he then replied " oh hes very brave , was he not scared? Ill think about it mum". Sure wish i couldve meet you grandad , i dont know a heck of alot about you, but i sure am proud to be one of many of your mokopuna, thank you for fighting for us , lest we forget and we will always remember what you and your comrades did for us xxx
