  • My name is Kaiawhi Wharemate and I am one of the Granddaughter's of Taoho Timoko. He and my Grandmother Rui Herewini were together for some time in the 40's, where they had my mum Granny Patricia Timoko on the 30th March 1947 and her sister Te Waitohi Timoko in September 1948. However, I didn't get to know my papa as he had already passed before the time I was born. We had recently (2015) received a photograph of our Papa as we did not know what he looked like. My mum did not know either as he and my nanny had parted ways. But we have had the privilege of meeting the children of our papa's whanau though who are really nice people. Thank you for the sacrifice you made Pa in order to protect your future posterity. Aroha mutunga kore x
