    Brothers: John Pitman (62766); Reweti (Dave) Pitman (39404); William Ratahi Pitman (28982) and Edward Pitman (29925) served with the 28 Maori Battalion and Max Pitman who served with the Royal New Zealand Navy.

    Ted enlisted too young and he was sent back to New Zealand
