In remembrance of my Koro Ted.
He was married to my maternal grandmother Meriana Te Piki (however she passed when my Mum and siblings were young). They were the parents of Wahine Tapu (my Mother the eldest), Manahi (Nash), Mokota (Michael), Hone (Johnny), Robert, Hine.
Koro Ted re-married nanny Maata and he drove the railway buses and lived in Mourea. Where i spent some of my happy childhood holidays, jumping off the Ohau bridge, diving for coins (from the Tourists) and swimming in Ohau River.
My Koro was a kind, generous, humble man who loved all his whanau. It was a privilege to know him.
He served our country in WW2 1939 - 1945.
