  • Thinking of you Uncle Taku❤. I am Zania and I am the eldest daughter of Marvin and the granddaughter to your beautiful late sister Nana Hinepuia. I never had the pleasure of meeting you, however I appreciate your service to Aotearoa.

    We love you

From Zania, my husband and our children Tamamutu, Karrah-Lee, Hoera, Ariana, Nikora, Amelia & Te Rangiita.

  • Uncle Taku, my whangai father - I wish I had asked many more questions now, and gone with you and Aunty Hine on the reunion cruise. I can still hear you sing with your many cousins and mates who served overseas with you, the songs from France and Italy, and i still have little notes you wrote while in these countries and later, in Japan - in Jay Force. Loved and honoured as a soldier and a true gentleman. Your mokopuna and I will always remember you.
