  • Teimi Morehu Houra - Also known as James Holder was my (whangai Koro) he lived with me and my Kuia Vera Hurimoni Love until he died on December 2nd 1978 at the age of 60 years. As mentioned he enlisted at Ratana Pa and went on the serve in the Maori Battalion. Over the years when significant events took place at our home town of Picton Teimi (daddad) or James as he was commonly known as would be asked to lay the challenge to the distinguished visitors that would visit. On this occasion the picture I have provided of my daddad was the challenge he laid to The Queen and Prince Phillip at Picton on 13 February 1963.
