  • Kia ora koutou katoa. Ko Remehio Koni taku ingoa, te kai tuhituhi. I am the eldest son of Wiremu (Moto) Koni. Wiremu Koni married 3 times. His first wife was Roma Tohu Koni who passed away during his active duty in WW2. Wiremu Koni later married Angela Barber Koni and begat Margaret Koni. After Angela passed away Wiremu Koni married Rutuina Barber Koni, sister to Angela. They had ten children together - Violet (Palmer) Koni, Mary Goretti Harrison, Remehio Witahua Koni, Teresa Josephine Koni, Patrick Koni Ngakuru, Gabriel Lesley Koni, Aroihi John Koni, Sarah Agnes Koni, Daniel Koni, Francis Koni. In memory of Wiremu Moto Koni.

  • Wiremu Koni is my grandfather. His wife was Ruth Koni. My mothers name is Mary (Mel) Goretti Koni, born 02/09/52 deceased 04/01/99. I never got to meet my grandfather, but am proud as punch to have his blood running through my veins! R.I.P my loved ones xox
