  • Hi grandpa,

    it's me Savana again,
I thought I'd leave another poppy here again. 🌹
It is remembrance day and so I leave yet another message.

I left Melbourne City on the 25/05/2021 , just before they closed the Western Australian borders, and I returned to Kalgoorlie and I have been in Kalgoorlie ever since.

I still think of your line of work and in the moment I fall humble of your thought in mining/construction.

I finished at the plant in Melbourne and transfered to the Woolworths supermarket in Kalgoorlie from Melbourne city ( Millers Junction - Altona North ), and I'm still yet to finalize my next move.

Goodbye papa for now , until next year hopefully.

    Regards,
    Savana A Smith

  • Hi grandad, just leaving another poppy for 2021. 🌺🕯

I'm still in Melbourne, Australia during the coronavirus pandemic & I managed to work 6 months temporarily for the Australian Government in conservation in which I found an onion orchid on 7/10/2020 in the western treatment plant. I also managed to work as a sentry/spotter in the Melbourne Newport wharf for the energy plant which has a big chimney sticking out which is hard to miss, but yet amazes me on how tall it is.

I still live in the Goldfields in Kalgoorlie,WA as well where I've worked in the gold mine shutdowns, & believe it or not I hose and water spray out floatation cells in the processing plant at the super-pit, I think it's similar to your line of work grandad Tom.

Anyway that's all for this year 2021.

    Regards, your granddaughter Savana.

  • Hi everyone,

    my name is Savana,
I am Tames grandchild and daughter to Luaana Ngahuru Smith.

Luaana is my mother & she is Tommys daughter.

I've come by to place a poppy on grandads profile for 2020 🌺.

I have been out to the wilderness to see my Tuhoe family.

I still continue to learn a lot about my heritage and family line & I thank my family for being so patient with us younger generations coming in,

    kind regards,

    Savana Smith.
