    Embarked Alexandria, 26 July 1916; disembarked Southampton, 7 august 1916, and posted to D Company, 5th Reserve Bn, Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 29 August 1916; taken on strength, 1st Bn, Wellington Infantry Regiment, in the field, 30 September 1916.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 20 October 1917; rejoined Bn from leave, 31 October 1917.
    Detached to No 1 Company, NZ Machine Gun Corps, 9(?) December 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 18 January 1918.
    Appointed Lance Corporal, 10 February 1918.
    Killed in action, 5 April 1918.
