  • Mabel Whishaw was the daughter of John Hanley and Catherine Elizabeth Whishaw of Stoneridge, Featherston, New Zealand.

    Three children enlisted and died Bernard Guthrie (WW1 11/1996), Harry Guthrie (WW1 10/154) and Mabel (22/371 ).

    She served in New Zealand, Home Service at Featherston Camp.

    Staff Nurse April 1918.

    Promoted to rank of Sister 12 April 1918. AWMM
