  • Valentine Scott was my grandfather. He married my grandmother Julia and they had 3 sons - Jack, Clifford (my father) and Ian. He was a vagabond and a wanderlust and travelled the South Island of NZ as part of a performance group called The Perriots. He passed away at the age of 48 in 1929 from a bout of pneumonia. He lived life on his own terms at the expense of his family. He is buried in the soldiers section of Karori Cemetery in Wellington.
