Wiremu Tuhiwai is my grandfather
, My mother Dorothy Tuhiwai was born a month later after he disenbarked to go to war so she grew up never knowing her father.
He kept a war diary which he made entries every day right up till his last day in the hospital. I have this in my possession today.
He will always be remembered even though he lies buried in Boulogne France.
