  • Lawrence Bell was the son of Lawrence Bell and of Alice Rose Bell (nee Wilson), of Waipukurau, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.

    Captain Bell was leading A Company when he died during the approach march on Maleme. Due to the confusion that occurred during this action, the exact circumstances of his death are unclear. AWMM
