    • Percy Codlin was the son of Harry and Alice Codlin, of Waipu, North Auckland, New Zealand. AWMM
    • He had one sister, May Emily, who was born in 1905. In 1927, she married Mr Charles Henry DOWNS. After their marriage, they lived at 34 Firth St, Hamilton.

      His father owned the Bakery located in central Waipu. He died on the 30th April 1934, and is buried in the Waipu Cemetery. Public - Sandra - Researcher - 11 October 2018 - Waipu Museum

  • Obituary
    Gunner P. Codlin, who has been killed in action, was the only son of Mr. N. H. Codlin, of Kuaka, Waipu, and 23 years of age. He enlisted in the Auckland Mounted Rifles, and left New Zealand in November, 1915. On the arrival of the New Zealand troops in France he volunteered for service in a French mortar battery, with which he was serving at the time of his death. Prior to his enlistment he was employed as a fireman by the Railway Department. (Auckland Weekly News, 29 March 1917, p. 48) AWMM
