Te Pehi Parata was the son of Hira Wi Parata and Te Oriwa Parata (nee Horomona) of Waikana, Wellington, New Zealand.

Koro Te Pehi Parata is my dad uncle he is the son of Tira Wareware Parata who is another sister of Te Pehi. Dad always talked about his uncle and had high respect.

I'm a descendant of Tohuroa (Tom) Parata & Wiremu Te Kakakura Parata. I'm pretty sure that I'm also a descendant of Te Pehi Parata as my whanau are from Waikanae.
