  • Teua Rangi was the son of Wharetini Rangi and Rotu Numia, Ruatoki.

    Teua's father was Rev. Captain Wharetini Rangi who was a Padre in 28 (Maori) Battalion;

    He was the brother of Renata Rangi (28 Maori Battalion); and

    Wiremu Patara Rangi (also 28 Maori Battalion).

    Listed in the Auckland Museum. Roll of Honour, Auckland Province, 1939 - 1945 as Te Ua N. Rangi AWMM
