    • Private Frederick Galbraith was son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Galbraith, of King Edward St., Dominion Rd., Auckland. Prior to enlistment he was employed by H Clarke as a shepherd. AWMM
    • He was the son of Christopher & Flora Ann GALBRAITH (nee McKenzie). They had six children – Frederick William (b1892), Flora Monteith Mclaren (b1893), James Chris (b1894), Hugh (b1896), Kate Elaine (b1897) and Alexander Buckley (b1903).
