  • Thank you Great Granddad for my wonderful Grandmother (your daughter), who I only met in 1994.
I was 19, I had been adopted at birth into another family.
When I met your daughter (my Grandmother), she had just suffered a stroke and could not talk, however her tears of joy when you saw my face reminded her so much of you, her father.
This memory is cherished and continues to move me to this day.
I Knew I was part of our whanau (family).
Thanks for making it home alive Great Granddad and thanks for your service.
    Love always
    David your Great Grand Son
