    • Twin brother to George William Dines, who also served in WW1, as part of the 4th Army, part of the NZ Division, in the NZ Rifle Brigade, Battle of Flers-Courcelette, George died approximately on the 15th September 1916. A memorial at Caterpillar Valley has his name as one of 200 NZ troops. George's Service no. 23/38 Public - Ben - Other Relative - 24 April 2015 - Caterpillar Valley Memorial details from Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
