Leave a tribute or memory of
Montague James Gibbs
I never met Great Uncle Monty but heard quite a bit about him. I also never met his brother, my grandfather, who died before I was born. Apparently both of them were great men, Uncle Monty all the more greater for the sacrifice he made for our freedom. He will always be remembered for his service and sacrifice. We did meet direct descendants of Monty in Wakefield when I travelled there as a child and they too were amazing people. I did not know until I found this information here that he was known as Sandy - probably to do with his hair I am guessing but there is absolutely no doubt with those features that he is a Gibbs through and through.
Thank you thank you thank you
