    Report
  • Mohi Te Purei is my Great Grandfather. I am the Grand Daughter of Tuahae Te Purei and it brings me such pride and honour to know that Koro Mohi fought along side other soldiers in the 2nd Maori Contingent in WW1. Knowing this makes me realise where us as a Te Purei whanau get our Kaha and Mana from, it stems all the way back to people such as Mohi Te Purei. This trait is ingrained in our bloodlines and has shaped us into the people that we are today. I send this contribution on behalf of my Father Mac Te Purei, my brothers Santos & Dante Te Purei and my sister Cana Te Purei. When life throws struggles our way, we will strengthen and rise to overcome our battles just as our Great Grandfather did 100yrs ago. We love you, you will forever be in our hearts and in our thoughts. In honour of you I hope to one day meet our whanau who are descendants of Mohi Te Purei. All of my love - Renee
