    • Son of Herbert Bowen Bridge and Leonore Adele Bridge of Wellington

      He was the grandson of Major Cyprian Bridge who was in command of the 58th Regiment when it arrived in Northland in 1845.

      Four brothers Cyprian Everard (25/72), Hugh Decimus (24332), Lance (8/2255) and Lionel Septimus (25/46) Bridge served in WW1, two died in service.

      Family corrected name misspellings, in the nominal roll transcription - recorded as Cyprian Evorard AWMM
