  • My darling koro, I was only 4yrs old when you passed, so I don't really have any memory of you. My Dad your son Renata tried joining the army, but thankfully Nan caught him before he could board the ship. Now my 4yr old mokoboy talks about you, so l am finding out as much as I can about you now, for him and all our whanau.

We visit your grave and think about the legacy you fought for and we think about your courage and sacrifice for our country and us.

Ka nui te aroha ki a koe koro, till we meet again, I know you will be watching over us, we will not forget you.
My moko Renata will tell us more about you and your memory will live on.
