    Embarked Wellington, 20 October 1916; disembarked Plymouth, 29 December 1916,marched into Sling Camp, and reverted to the ranks.
    Admitted to No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 14 January 1917 (pleurisy); transferred to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames, 1 February 1917 (pneumonia); discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 7 February 1917.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Devonport on board SS 'Maunganui', 17 March 1917; discharged (no longer fit for War Service on account of illness contracted on Active service), 8 June 1917.
    Total war service: 325 days (of which 213 days were abroad)
    Medal: British War Medal

    Later became Governor of Vava’u and Minister for Police. Governor of Vava’u between 1936 – 1939, then Lieutenant-Colonel of the Tonga Defence Force during the Second World War and Minister for Police 1939-1952. AWMM
