  • I was so grateful that I found your name today, because you belong to our whanau, the Noperas' of Houhora,who settled in Ahipara Northland Also with you in battle was Patrick Nopera and Danny Nopera We have been doing a lot of the Maori Battalion re-collections for a few years and our soldiers of the past I am a granddaughter to Nopera Mumu and Kataraina my mum was Mary Annie Born in Houhora after her grand aunt Annie who married Judge Manning and I am Bryar Barbara Annette and my younger brother is Phillip James my sons are Awa Inwood and Waylen Inwood and my brothers sons are Jessie James and Curtis our Pakeha Grandfather was Phillip Oscar Inwood Moemoe ra You will be remembered forever and thankyou for putting your life, your principles of maori tikanga on the line for ALL in Aotearoa NewZealand All Our Aroha
