  • He is mentioned in Allan Watkins diary "Guns came forward in front of Puisieux, bright moonlight. At break of day we were heavily shelled and had a rotten time in holes we had dug in the ground, no sleep. Later the hun counter attacked 3 times and each time we were again bombarded with shells and gas. Still we all “boxed on” though poor old Bullock main body 9th WMR was killed also one of the drivers (Duncan). Our range is only from 1900 to 1200 yards so we get a large share of machine gun bullets." written on 22 Thursday, August 1918.
