Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum exists to serve Aucklanders and visitors to the city, for today, for tomorrow, and for future generations. As part of the social fabric of this city over the decades, we continue to enable cultural wellbeing and social cohesion by enabling Aucklanders to connect with the past and have a sense of their identity and place in a changing world.

We are pleased to present to you our Draft Annual Plan for FY 2024/25, which represents a year of transition as we launch our new Strategic Direction, The Path to 2029. While the Museum is still recovering from the financial hangover of COVID-19, with three years of static public funding and reduced revenue, we remain focused on delivering world class experiences for Aucklanders and visitors to the city.

As part of this Draft Annual Plan we have also consulted on an alternative funding mechanism for the next three years – a multi-year agreement with Auckland Council instead of the annual levy.

Find out more about the options for future public funding here.

The Draft Annual Plan 2024/2025 is available online from the Museum’s website or by emailing [email protected]

Anyone who has made a submission is invited to appear and be heard in relation to their submission on 29 February 2024 at Auckland Museum. Please email [email protected] for more details.
