"Final report of the Waitangi Tribunal (permanent commission of inquiry) concerning the Crown's response to the wreck of the MV Rena on Otaiti (Astrolabe Reef). It follows on from the Tribunal's interim report on the same issue, which found that the Crown's consultation process with Maori in preparation for deciding the resource consent application to leave the wreck on the reef had breached the Treaty of Waitangi principles of good faith and partnership. The Tribunal found that the Crown has failed in its duty to act reasonably, honourably, and in good faith, and it made recommendations designed to remedy the prejudice caused to the claimants"--Publisher information.
