'Au'upega

'Au'upega. Club. 'Au'upega is the general name for clubs; there are different types of 'au'upega that have different names and specific uses. All of these types of 'au'upega were used by men and warriors during times of warfare and combat. This 'au'upega is deep mustard brown in colour, the handle is cylindrical in shape, and the club head is diamond in shape and cross section. The handle is undecorated. The club head is decorated with different geometric motifs that have been carved into the wood on both sides. There is a long deep crack along one side of the handle and a hairline crack from the tip of the club head to the middle.
