'Arā. Adze blade. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone), triangular in cross section, with a moderately steep bevel and a sharp cutting edge. There is a reduction from the shoulder to the butt. The bevel and the blade are polished with the remaining areas of the 'arā left flaked. Grey in colour.
