Sedre ni Waiwai

Sedre ni Waiwai (oil dish). Dish used for waiwai (coconut oil) or yaqona (kava). Carved from kau (wood). Shallow dish, almond in shape with bito (lug) at outer side, and yava i va (four legs) underside of dish. There are two detached braids of magimagi (coconut sennit), bound together with cotton thread, possibly broken off the Sedre ni Waiwai. Bito is with two holes. Brown in colour.
