Tairiiri. Fan. Woven from kikau ou (young coconut leaf) in the shape of a spade. Plaited commencement from centre base in check weave. Blade terminates at a single apex. Natural colour. Mauranga (handle) is formed from two ribs of the main section of a kikau and plaited together to form the mauranga and the blade.
