i Voce. Paddle. Carved from a single piece of kau (wood), possibly Kau Niu (coconut wood). The shape of the head is egg-shaped, with the shaft being round in cross-section, with a knobbed butt-end. The top of the shaft extends approximately 250mm from the base of the blade to near the centre of the blade. Dark brown in colour.
