'Arā. Fragment, Adze. Broken off at shoulder, with only the blade remaining. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone). The blade is rounded, oval in cross-section, with a mildly steep bevel, and dull cutting edge. Overall surface treatment left pecked. There is a round circular red coloured marking near the centre of the blade. Dark grey in colour.
