Fibre sample
human history
Fibre sample. This is a sample made from a dark coloured flat fibre that has been used to braid into a three strand plait to hold six small looped coils of benu (coconut husk fibre). As mentioned on its label it was made to "illustrate the method of attaching flowers to a wreath." The loose ends of the dark coloured braid have been use to bind the remaining ends of the benu together into a small bundle.
