Te mwae te wii n te kao. Cow teeth neck ornament. This mwae (neck ornament) is strung with wii n te kao (cow's teeth) which are perforated at the root, and strung in pairs. Blue te moromoro (trade beads) of a deep ocean blue are interspersed between the wii n te kao. Between the middle pair of wii n te kao are te moromoro of a turquoise blue colour. All the elements are strung onto cord of te kora (coconut sennit). The wii n te kao are yellowed off-white in colour.
