AUCKLAND, October 10. A young Maori Soldier who was seriously injured by a tram-car late on Saturday night died at the hospital. Spectators of the accident say that he walked right on to the tram-rails and fell under the front of the car. A paper on his clothing bore the name of Henry Trood, but his identity has been established.Public - Lorraine Mona - Researcher - 9 June 2025 - Ashburton Guardian, Volume XXXVII, Issue 3581, 16 October 1916, Page 4
