Mini Museum Membership is a Membership programme offering benefits and events tailored to the interests of children aged 5 to 15 years of.

+Who is Mini Museum Membership for?

Mini Museum Membership is a Membership programme for children aged 5 to 15 years.

+Can Mini Museum Members visit Auckland Museum on their own?

All children aged 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult while inside the Museum and when participating in Membership events.

We recommend you add a $25 Friends & Whānau pass to the Mini Museum Membership. This way, the child’s guardian can accompany the Mini Member to view exhibitions or take part in events. A maximum of three Friends & Whānau passes can be added to any Membership per year. Friends & Whānau passes are valid for one year in conjunction with the Mini Museum Membership.

+Can Mini Museum Members participate in Membership events on their own?

+If I am a Mini Museum Member, can I partake in Museum Members benefits and events and vice versa?

No. Our membership benefits are specific to the membership type you have purchased.

+How do the store and café discounts work for Mini Members?

Mini Members get 10% off at the Hokohoko Museum Store and Special Exhibition Store, at Tuitui Museum Bistro & Café and at 1929 Espresso Bar. At Tuitui Museum Bistro & Café, the 10% discount can only be applied to a single transaction per table. If there is a split bill, the 10% discount will only be applied to the portion that the member is paying for. Discounts for Mini Members do not include alcoholic drinks.

+Does the Museum have a Child Protection Policy?

Yes - Auckland Museum has a Child Protection Policy. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to receive a copy of this policy.
